Why It's Worth It

I'd like to express the amount of difficulty it took me to release a post. Navigating who I am as a Woman of Color is never easy, nor is sharing and writing it down for everyone to read. However, I continued to write and think about the "why?" This blog isn't simply to write and share with you all just anything.  As much as it may seem that way, these posts are the truth, a heartfelt message, and a platform to speak of experiences that are typical in the day of a life of W.O.C yet unusual to outsiders. The point is to release truth to you, it isn't promised to be the happiest BUT it is meant to open up yourself and know that as women we didn't choose the life we're living. However, all we can do is show not only others but ourselves that we possess strength and the capability to overcome obstacles. On that note, I ask all of you reading this to care for yourselves.
